URBTIX (Urban Ticketing System) is a comprehensive ticketing platform that caters to both event organizers and the general public. It provides multiple purchasing options across Hong Kong, including physical outlets in various districts, self-service kiosks situated at select performance venues and major museums, as well as online transactions via a dedicated website, mobile app, and telephone services.

The recently launched URBTIX mobile app aims to enhance the ticket-buying experience by allowing users to conveniently make purchases directly from their smartphones. Registered members benefit from an array of personalized features, such as the ability to bookmark favorite events, receive email reminders for purchased tickets, manage and transfer e-tickets, and utilize biometric authentication options like fingerprint or face ID for secure log-in.

Developed by Tianjin Maoyan Weying Technology Co. Ltd. for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the revamped URBTIX system has been operational since December 2022. It boasts an increased capacity to handle high demand for popular events and presents more efficient purchasing functionalities, including the support of various electronic payment methods, thereby catering to modern consumer needs.
